  • Helping schools build effective business partnerships
  • Building a strong positive image for workforce education in America

As of Fall 2019, we have 164 NTHS members in the TCAT-Pulaski chapter.

Students interested in the National Technical Society should ask their program instructor for more details.

OLLIE OTTER BOOSTER SEAT AND SEATBELT SAFETY PROGRAM

TCAT-Pulaski partners with the Ollie Otter Booster Seat and Seatbelt Safety Program every year.  This is a GREAT program where volunteers are trained to go into elementary schools to present seat belt and booster seat education to Kindergarten through 4th grade students. The program provides classroom materials in schools statewide.

Why does TCAT Pulaski participate in this?

  • It is a rewarding public service opportunity and a great way for TCAT-Pulaski to give back to the community;
  • For TN Promise students, you can count this time toward your community service hours requirement.
  • The smiles and hugs received from the children cannot be matched.
In 2018, TCAT-Pulaski volunteers won the Ollie Award for the most participation across all of Tennessee!

SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA is a national workforce development organization that helps students build the skills they need for success in school, work and life. It empowers students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members through leadership development, teamwork, service, and real-world learning connected to career and technical education.

SkillsUSA Tennessee Postsecondary brings those opportunities to students across the state through local chapters, statewide events and hands-on experiences. Students can grow as leaders, take part in competitions, attend conferences, serve their communities and strengthen the personal and workplace skills employers value. For TCAT Athens students, SkillsUSA can be a strong way to build confidence, connect classroom learning to career goals and prepare for success after graduation.
