General Admission Requirements

  • Program enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis by date of completed application. (A completed application includes all items required for enrollment.)
  • Persons seeking admission to a college must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent. For full-time programs, the applicant must declare an occupational objective and demonstrate reasonable potential for achieving that objective.
  • All persons who are required to register for the Federal Draft under 50 U.S.C. App. Section 453 are not eligible to enroll in any post-secondary school until they have registered with selective service.

Program-Specific Admission Requirements

Educational and admission requirements vary from program to program. 

Practical Nursing Evening (Cannot apply until September 2022)

****You can apply for Evening PN 2023 in September or October, 2022***

Prospective applicants should complete the following steps:

Submit the online application to TCAT-Pulaski.  You will need to come in the office for additional paperwork and to return your packet. ACT scores or Entrance exam scores are to be included in the packet.

Pay for and schedule HESI entrance exam or submit acceptable ACT score of 19 in reading and 19 in math. The HESI entrance exam is $42.00 and must be paid in order to reserve a spot. This fee is non-refundable. After paying and scheduling, you will be given a reminder sheet with your time and date for the test.  If you are a no show for your scheduled test time, you forfeit the $42 payment.  You will then have to pay $42 and reschedule the exam.

Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting



 

Admission Requirements:

         Schedule and pay for the HESI entrance exam or submit acceptable ACT score of 17 in reading and 17 in math. To be eligible for admission by taking the HESI, you must have a score of 60 in reading and 50 in math. The HESI entrance exam is $42.00 and must be paid in order to reserve a spot. This fee is non-refundable. After paying and scheduling, you will be given a reminder sheet with your time and date for the test.  If you are a no show for your scheduled test time, you forfeit the $42 payment.  You will then have to pay $42 and reschedule the exam.

    • Applicants must be 18 years of age
    • Complete a TCAT-Pulaski application online
    • Provide a regular high school diploma or HiSet/GED transcript
    • ACT (current high school graduates) or HESI entrance exam score

    • Provide proof of 2 MMR and 2 Varicella immunizations/titers
      • T.B. Skin Test
      • Hepatitis B Immunizations
      • Flu Vaccination
      • Tetanus
    • Proof of Medical Insurance
    • Proof of Driver's License

    Students are subject to drug screening, criminal background check, and possibly other vaccinations based upon clinical affiliation agreements.

     

    Dental Assisting-Supplemental program

    Dental Assisting for both Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday classes is now full. Please check back later in the year for the next start date.  Thank you.

     

     

     

    Phlebotomy-Supplemental program

    This program is listed in Supplemental programs. It is a part-time program which means there is no financial aid available. We do not have a start date for this program. Once we reach 10 students, we can set the start date.

    If you are interested in phlebotomy, the Patient Care/Medical Assisting program is a great option. Along with phlebotomy certification, you can obtain CNA certification, EKG, and other allied health certifications. This program is full time with financial aid available for qualified students.

    Adult admission is limited to approved graduates of Lawrence County High School and/or Loretto High School in May of the same year with immediate enrollment required by the Fall Trimester.

    Adult admission is limited to approved graduates of Loretto High School in May of the same year with immediate enrollment required by the Fall trimester.
