Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of successful experience in information technology & security within the last five years.
- Post-secondary Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field required.
- Evidence of potential teaching ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft certifications are preferred.
- A.S. or B.S. Degree preferred.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide theory and hands-on skills instruction to high school CTE students in areas including, but not limited to, troubleshooting, system architecture and protocols, software applications, hardware assembly and repair, backup strategies, networking and configuring computers, and related peripheral devices.
- Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual CTE students’ performance and progress; maintain appropriate records; prepare and submit timely reports.
- Participate in in-service training, workshops, and other programs for professional growth.
- Participate in student organizations (SkillsUSA, etc.).
- Maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean lab and/or classroom.
- Be responsible for equipment and supplies assigned to the lab and/or classroom.
- Supervise and follow-up on CTE students participating in Work-Based Activities.
- Teach the Work Ethics curriculum.
- Perform other duties as directed and assigned by the administration.
