Allied Health and Medical Assisting

About

The Allied Health and Medical Assisting program is a six-month certificate program, consisting of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. The student is exposed to a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities required of today's Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician and Medical Assistant. Once required coursework is passed, the student is prepared to take the State of Tennessee Nurse Aide (CNA) exam, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam, the National Healthcare Association (NHA) certified EKG Technician (CET) exam, and the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam (CCMA).
