About
Dental Assistants are trained to work with the dentist on live patients. During this program, you will learn the basic principles of dental instruments, dental materials, and office procedures. You will also learn what is expected of a dental assistant. TCAT Pulaski strives to provide technical instruction and skill development to enable our students to become successful dental assistants. Upon successful completion, our students will receive a Basic Dental Assistant certificate. As a registered dental assisting program through the Tennessee Board of Dentistry, students successfully completing are eligible to apply to become a Registered Dental Assistant. This unique experience allows our students to also obtain interpersonal skills essential for career success and advancement. This program is a 7-8 month program or 175 hours. This program is now eligible for TN state aid (i.e., Wilder Naifeh/Lottery, TN Promise, TN Reconnect) for TN residents. You must complete a FAFSA. Other aid sources possibly available.
