Required Qualifications

  • An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Must have a current TN Registered Nurse License.
  • A minimum of 3 years of current hospital and/or nursing home experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited college or university.
  • Teaching experience is preferred. 

Responsibilities

  •  Teach full course curriculum; develop course outlines, lesson plans, lectures, and exams.  Supervise student’s clinical experiences as scheduled.
  • Provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required.
  • Maintain confidential, accurate, and complete student records.
  • Participate in recruitment of students and placement of graduates.
  • Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to businesses and agencies hiring Allied Health students; establish and maintain good public relations with the general public.
  • Actively seek potential clinical sites for the provision of clinical training.
  • Maintain ongoing competencies required for RN licensure by participation in continuing education opportunities.

Salary Range
