Full time Industrial Electricity Associate Instructor with a strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems is strongly recommended. The Instructor will provide classroom and lab instruction, develop lesson plans and curriculum, assist with recruitment and placement of students; teach their knowledge the National Electric Code (NEC). Minimum three (3) years related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Responsibilities
Provide classroom and lab instruction with emphasis on safety
Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ performance and progress; maintain appropriate records; prepare and submit timely reports
Develop lesson plans and curriculum
Assist with recruitment and placement of students
Maintain lab and equipment
Participate in program improvement and accreditation
Engage with industry partners

Maintain an active Program Advisory Board
Participate in in-service training, workshops, and other programs for professional growth.
Participate in student organizations (SkillsUSA, etc.)
Maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean lab and/or classroom
Be responsible for equipment and supplies assigned to the lab and/or classroom

Supervise and follow-up students participating in Work-Based Activities
Teach the Work Ethics curriculum

Skills
Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
Must have experience with AC and DC motors, Motor Control (relays, timers, and motor starters) PLCs, VFDs, and Electrical Schematic Diagrams.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
Willingness to remain current in the field
Possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with both adult and high school CTE students as well as faculty, staff, the public, and business/industry representatives
Must be willing to learn and use classroom management best practices and individualized instructional techniques
Evidence of potential teaching ability
Must possess the computer skills necessary to be an effective instructor
