To apply for Dental Assisting, go to supplemental programs since it is a part time program.
Dental Assistants are trained individuals who work with the dentist on live patients. During the course of this program you learn the basic principles of dental instruments, dental materials, and office procedures plus what is expected from the professional dental assistant. We strive to provide the technical instruction and skill development to enable students to become successful dental assistants. Upon completion of the program the student will receive a Dental Assistant certificate, as well as a certificate in Radiology. Our unique learning experience allows our students to also obtain interpersonal skills essentials for career success and advancement. This course consists of (151) hours in dental assisting, (3) hours CPR, (15) hours in Radiology Lecture, and (6) hours in Radiology Lab. It is sponsored by the local dentist association and approved by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry.
